Classroom and routines

If someone thinks about his life without routines that he usually does the same every day, he will find that his life is mostly a mess and not organized. Also the classroom should have a set of routines that the students should understand and follow in order for the teaching-learning process to go smoothly and to have a healthy and enjoyable environment in the classroom. In order for the students to enjoy following the routines, they should first participate in forming these routines and thus they become better adapted and know them well thus practice them easily. Also, the teacher should first practice them with the students in a daily basis in order for the students to master them, and the teacher should be the role model for the students which means that the teacher herself should obey these routines before the students (example coming on time to the classroom). The set of routines will help the teacher very much and well cause less management problems and will form an better learning environment.

yes Hoda, class routines are necessary to keep the teacher being organized, before entering the classroom he/she could be prepared. Not only the teacher but the students also can expect what the teacher wants them to do before starting the lesson. But routines should not be bored to students , instead, should be interested.

Routines are essential for our daily lives where we cannot live in an organized way without routines, routines for getting up and ready for the day, routines for finding important items at home and at work, routine for doing certain recurring tasks. Also for the classroom to run smoothly and to be more organized some routines should be there, where the teacher needs to communicate them clearly and that will her/him to reduce management problems and save time for learning activities and discussions.

Students, of course, know how to behave in class. The question is do they have to? Students adjust their behavior to match the standards of each teacher. For students We never tell them what their rules and routines should be, but we do tell them you need to "Practice, Practice, Practice."
"Only Perfect Practice Makes Perfect."
